Ellen M. Fleming

Ellen M. Fleming (Bennett), born February 23, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Jack and Bernice Bennett, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 1, 2026, after a lengthy battle with dementia.

Ellen appreciated the simple pleasures of life, finding enjoyment in crossword puzzles, Scrabble, word searches, and watching her favorite television shows, including The Golden Girls and Two and a Half Men. She valued time spent with family, cherishing moments with those closest to her.

She is survived by her five children: Brian (Carolyn) Sharpe of Parma, Ohio; Tom (Kelly Sandor) Sharpe of Lorain, Ohio; Dan (Marcia) Fleming of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; Kim (Ron) Meulen of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Cheri Fleming of Millersburg, Ohio. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her sister, Darlene (Ken) Larimore of Grove City, Ohio.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husbands, Tom Sharpe, and Herb Fleming; her parents, Bernice Hebda and Jack Bennett; her brothers, James Bennett, and Carl Hebda; and her sisters, Nancy Henson, and Marlene Zimmerly; and her son in law Weldon Baisden. 

Ellen will be remembered for her quiet strength, her love of family, and the simple joys that brought her happiness throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
