"Together Again"

Marie E. Schrock age 87, of Berlin, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 at her home following a period of declining health.

A memorial service will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11th at The Well in Winesburg, Ohio with Pastor Lamar Troyer officiating. A private burial will take place at the Schrock Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 10th at the church.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Ohio's Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691.

Marie was born July 7, 1936 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the daughter of Michael P. and Fannie (Mullet) Erb. On February 21, 1955 she married John E. Schrock and he preceded her in death on November 9, 2011.

Marie was a homemaker that enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved Sunday afternoon visits with her siblings. It was the highlight of her week. Marie was an avid gardener and was known for her beautiful flower beds. 

She is survived by four children: Jo Ann (Andy) Hershberger of Berlin, John "JD" (Wanda) Schrock of Berlin, James Schrock of Millersburg and Joy (Alan) Zipper of Cleveland; 14 grandchildren: Shannon Hershberger, Traci (James) Coletti, Andrea (Darian) Troyer, Summer (Jamie) Garber, Jessica (Gary) Stutzman, Ashley Schrock, Rachelle (Dane) Applin, Jaymes (Maribel) Schrock, Natasha Schrock, John Codye (Alisha) Schrock, Gabrianna (DeMarcus) Thomas-Brown, Savannah Chambers, Nicholas VonAlmen and Nicole (David) Keffer; 19 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; siblings: Roy (Jean) Erb of Kidron, Daniel (Karen) Erb of Strasburg, Elsie (Bill) Weaver of Millersburg, Marvin Erb of Winesburg, Paul Erb of Berlin and Naomi (Junior) Kandel of Sugarcreek; a sister-in-law, Barbara Erb of Walnut Creek; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; a brother, Emmanuel Erb; and a great grandson, Jonathan Andrew Stutzman.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the caregivers and hospice who made it possible for their mom to spend her last year at home.
